The Stonewall Riots 40th Anniversary

Posted on by dswashington

In 2009, I wrote and produced a twenty-two part, award-winning* multimedia series on the Stonewall Riots’ 40th Anniversary for AARP Media.  Coverage included writing a timeline of major events since 1958 and 10 articles, including a 1st person essay entitled Seven Years Old in 1969, a news account, a report on the legacy of gay Hispanics;  numerous online/radio/audio interviews (Kate Clinton, Bishop Gene Robinson), hosting a video interview with Martina Navratilova, and acting as executive producer for a 9-minute film, Stonewall: Milestone Remembered.
